My mothers Wisdom -

I wish I could wax lyrical about the ups and downs of the year. ⏲️
I've certainly kept my head up and remained pragmatic ,professional and strong 💪
And I have enjoyed success and have had some great times both at home and work.
But being honest ,personally it's been hard , really hard 😔
Losing my mother was devastating and certainly hasn't got easier.
So rather than say the clichéd 2024 post blah blah I'll finish the year with a wee tribute to my beautiful mum.
I find her words coming out of my mouth on a daily basis to my son ,partner ,friends and colleagues.

Here are some of the safe for work ones - 😆

1-No such word as can't!

From my granda to my mum ,this meant you can do anything, stop moaning and go for it.

2-There is enough people out there wanting to pull you down,you have to lift each other up !

Closely followed by blood is thicker than water , I always say this to teams when in disagreement. Promotes alignment and common purpose.

3-If you can get B's you can get A's !

You are more capable than you know.
If I can do it you can!

4-Who are you king of the dickheads ?

Be humble and don't let your ego run away with itself.

5-How lucky where we eh ?

Gratitude for the past ,appreciation for the present and the gift of being able to plan for the future.
2024 will soon be in the rearview and whilst my Mum is no longer here ,she is always with me.
I'll be taking her Wisdom and values into 2025 and beyond.
